Any information that you provide to Aoulous online will be treated in accordance with the laws and regulations of the province of Ontario and the laws of Canada which may apply in Ontario.
All of Aoulous’s web sites meet appropriate online information collection and use practices.

Which Web sites are covered by the privacy policy?
At present, Aoulous operates the following websites: www.baystreetjobs.com, www.workingonwallstreet.com, and rentality.com. Aoulous may, however, from time to time add new sites that may or may not be listed above. Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to web sites maintained by Aoulous, and entities controlled by BayStreetJobs.com. This Privacy Policy also does not apply to web sites maintained by other companies or organizations to which we link.

When you click on a hyperlink displayed on our web site, you may be leaving Aoulous’s web site and entering another web site for which this Online Privacy Policy does not apply. You may not be specifically informed of this fact although in most instances a new browser window will be opened when a hyperlink is redirecting you to a web site which we do not operate or control. This may not always be the case, however. Therefore, before providing any personal information which may be requested from you, you should first verify the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or the hypertext transfer protocol (http) address displayed by your web browser to confirm whether or not you are still accessing a web site operated by Aoulous. If not, this Online Privacy Policy will not apply to your visit.

You should carefully review the privacy statements or policies on any other site that you visit or wish to send e-mail to because those privacy statements or policies will apply to your visit and e-mail sent to that site and may be very different from Aoulous’s Online Privacy Policy.

What information is collected and for what purpose is it being collected?

In order to give you the best experience on our site, Aoulous may collect demographic and aggregate information from its online visitors who access its sites. Demographic information is anonymous information, which may include age, gender and geographic location. Aggregate information is data about a group or category of services or users from which individual identities have been removed. In other words, how you use a service may be collected and combined with information about how others use the same services, but no personal information is associated with this information. Therefore, demographic information and aggregate information are not considered personal information as neither is linked to an identifiable individual.

When you register with our online properties as an employer or job seeker, you may be asked to provide certain personal information that is necessary to ensure the proper functionality of our web site, automated screening tools, or searching functionality.  The information we collect may include addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.  Job seekers may also, but are not required to provide a resume or cover letter which may be accessible to either to all registered employers or limited to only those to which you apply.

The types of information requested for each activity and the ways the information may be used are described below.

Online Resumes and Applications
Some of our sites allow users to submit personal information in a business capacity (e.g., resumes, applications or proposals). Personal information collected in this capacity will be used solely for the purpose specified. In particular resume submissions will be used for the sole purpose of accepting and evaluating candidate applications for job postings.

A resume uploaded to the system may be marked as public, meaning it would be accessible to any registered employer who has signed up for our candidate database search tool, referred hereon as “the Vault”.  Marking your resume as private allows only those employers to which you have specifically applied to view your resume, making it subsequently inaccessible to searches performed against our candidate database.

Aoulous has made significant efforts, including the use of industry standard 128-bit RSA encryption on all registration pages, login forms, and candidate profiles to ensure the privacy of your personal information.  We cannot, however, guarantee that other parties will not obtain the information contained within your resume once it has been viewed by a third party, such as a registered employer to which you have applied.  We are not responsible for the use of resumes by these persons during or after their use of our website.

Through our employer registration confirmation and review process, Aoulous tries to ensure that only reputable organizations have access to resumes and adhere to our resume usage guidelines.  These guidelines seek to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of your resume to third parties or employers to whom a recruiter may send resumes.  Due to the often multi-tiered nature of the recruitment process, we cannot guarantee that all registered employers and their users will adhere to these guidelines nor does Aoulous have authority to enforce these guidelines.

As part of our user management tools, you may delete or update any of your personal information, resumes, cover letters, or your entire account.  You may also manage all of the site-wide notification features, including Mobile Text Messaging, Job Category e-mail alerts, and marketing correspondence from the “Messaging Center” link of your profile where any or all of these features may be disabled as needed.

User comments and e-mail
Our web sites will sometimes invite users to provide us with their comments on our products or on certain events. Users who wish to provide us with their comments will sometimes have the option of also providing us with their name and e-mail address. We do not require users to provide us with such information, however. Comments provided to Aoulous by users may be posted on our web sites.  Alongside such comments, we may also post the user's first name and last initial as well as the city and province which this user has indicated he or she is from. However, we will ensure that any such postings on our web sites do not contain any personal information.

To the extent an online form or an e-mail submitted by a user contains personal information, we will only use such personal information to the extent it is necessary to respond to any comment or question from such user. We will limit access to such personal information and will keep such personal information in a secure system. Although most online forms and e-mail messages submitted by users are deleted after we respond, in certain cases hard copies or data extracts may be kept on file. Any such copy or any such information, to the extent it is personal, will also be stored in a secure location.

Use of cookies, Web Beacons and Log Files
Some of our sites use cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your hard drive when you visit a web site. These files identify your computer and record your preferences and other data about your visit so that when you return to the site, the site knows who you are and can personalize your visit. The cookies used on our sites are not linked to any personal information about you.

In general, we use cookies to collect information so that we can determine how to improve our sites by seeing which areas, features and products are most popular; to personalize the site and make recommendations based on products you have examined while visiting our site as well as to improve the site experience. As already mentioned, the information collected by the cookies we use is not personal information insofar as it is not identifiable to you specifically. As technology advances and cookies provide more functionality, we expect to utilize them in different ways. As we do so, we will update this Policy to provide you with more information.

Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies. You can disable cookies or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. However some areas may not function properly if you do so. There are many sources for additional information about Internet cookies, and we encourage anyone concerned about the use of cookies to do more research on the topic so you can make an informed decision about accepting them from any site.

Aoulous does not use "web beacons" (a.k.a. "web bugs," "action tags," "pixel trackers," or "clear GIFs") on any of our online properties.  Aoulous maintains log files, which contain Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses. An IP address is a numeric address that is assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. We do not link IP addresses to personal information. In general, we only use log files to monitor traffic on our Web sites and to troubleshoot technical problems. In the event of abuse, however, we may block certain IP addresses.

What safeguards does Aoulous use to protect my personal information?
Aoulous maintains reasonable safeguards in an effort to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the personal information we collect. We also have implemented reasonable security measures in an effort to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control including the use of 128-bit RSA encryption. Personal information collected by Aoulous is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public (e.g., locked rooms) and access to that information is limited to employees who need the information to provide you with our products or services.
